This movie is hilarious! I went and caught the late show Friday night and can't say enough good things about it. I laughed my butt off. Here is the link to the official site, check it out.

This is going to be a heck of a long entry cause it covers almost a year since I last said anything about movies. Been a weird year with me moving and all but I have a theater close to my house and with my schedule now being more stable I am going once again. I am going to split this post up to movies from the last part of 2008 that I saw in the theater then everything from 2009 followed up with all the movies that were in thee theater that I have since seen on DVD or some equivalent format.
2008
Tropic Thunder "You never go full retard!" This had its funny parts and a lot of stupid. It's a good i'm drunk and want to see something dumb movie.
Death Race I remember liking this movie when it came out it reminded me of that game we used to play across the lan. It wasn't an overly great movie.
Bangkok Dangerous Stoneface is an assassin. Lucky for him he shouldn't have to show more than one emotion for this role. I'd watch it again.
Lakeview Terrace Samuel Jackson scares me. Yeah that is is. Scary black man is scary.
Eagle Eye Mix of a conspiracy theory with computer ai out to kill / control man. I've seen it a few times now on HBO and whatnot.
Quarantine Virus makes zombies. OooOOooooOOoooo. Don't bother although it had its moments that could make you jump.
The Day the Earth Stood Still I don't remember hating this movie but I don't think I would watch it again. Keanu Reeves isn't the best actor in the world in the first place and the script wasn't fantastic. The metal "locust" swarm was a neat touch.
Seven Pounds LOVED this movie. Will Smith has really shown that he can play a dramatic role very well.
Bedtime Stories I knew this was a kids movie going into it but didn't know too much else about it. It was okay I can see the bits of it where a kid would really like but there was enough to keep me entertained as well. It was very similar to Big Daddy.
2009
The Unborn This one was weird, some nazi prisoner ghost was haunting the women of this family trying to cross over.
My Bloody Valentine 3D Please stab the parts of my brain that remember this. I know that 3D movies are the big thing again but damnit just because you can poke a pickax at the crowd doesn't mean you should. Find a better use for 3D than shoving crap in my face.
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans Continuation in the series this one went more into the past of how the Lycans and Vampires assumed their respective roles. Lots of blood and guts.
Taken This movie had me on the edge of my seat for parts of it. I enjoyed it on DVD or was that HBO or something later as well. Either way I have watched this a few times now and will probably stop to watch it whenever I catch it on in the future.
The Uninvited This had a weak plot with just a down right creepy movie attached. The burned up mother was just disturbing.
Friday the 13th Wooooooo remake! It was like the one from the 80's with gratuitous nudity and little plot. Mmmmmm boobs.
Watchmen Comic book movie featuring a giant blue schlong. There was more to this movie like super heroes and stuff but that big blue wang just made me wanna leave. Because of that I rate this chick flick. Add a little of that mosaic action and i'll sit through to the end again.
The Last House on the Left I liked this one. Random murderers find two girls and laughter ensues. Just see it if you get a chance you'll either like it or hate it. I liked it.
I Love You, Man This movie is the definition of cringe humor at points but it really made for a funny movie because of it. I squirmed in my seat a little each time he came up with a bad nick name.
Star Trek WTF?!!?! Uhura and Spock?! What the flying fuck kind of bullshit are you trying to pass off as a classic here Abrams? Alternate time line, okay, the entire senior crew of the enterprise met in starfleet academy, maybe....... Kirk hitting on everything that moved is expected but not that. Just WTF?!?!
Angels & Demons Prequel to the Da Vinci Code. It was a fun movie for people into the whole mystery and conspiracy theory stuff. The bits in there about the Large Hadron Collider and making an anti-matter bomb was enough to pull me out of the movie going wtf but otherwise fun.
The Hangover Go see this. See this many times it has booze and bitches and a surprise at the end for you Zach Galifianakis fans.
Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince The next to last installment of the series and it's dark and oh noes Snape kills Dumbledor. Hermione wants me. I can see it through the screen.
District 9 Robutts from outer space. I was pretty sure I was gonna like this movie and I did it was strange and I want a little robot of my own.
Inglourious Basterds Two words.... bear jew. Damn skippy.
Gamer I thought this was gonna be some crap like Doom but it was actually pretty good and had a cautionary message about technology and just letting people use it without asking questions. I liked the idea of getting myself my very own person to control in a place like the sims. Takes cybering to a whole other level. Really freaky.
Extract Mila Kunis is hot, which is pretty much why I went and saw this. The stupid landscaper guy was just that, stupid. Made me think of other people I know and that makes me chuckle.
DVD
Pineapple Express This is a fun stoner movie similar to Half Baked or the like. I laughed pretty hard watching it.
Zack and Miri Make a Porno "Can you believe THIS shit? That chick frosted me like I was a fucking cake!" Need I say more?!
Inkheart Neat story about characters from books coming to life because the right person was reading their story out loud.
The Haunting in Connecticut The movie was dark and creepy but the story was lacking a little bit. Bonus points for corpses stacked in the walls.
Fast & Furious Okay okay wait a second here you mean this isn't a reprint of the original but a fourth in the series with the same name as the first one?! What genius thought this up? Genius being a very relative term here.
Dragonball: Evolution - This movie is SO bad that I cannot find an official site for it anywhere. The closest I found was this. Clearly fox doesn't want to be tied to this stinker.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine I have no idea if this meets up with the origins of Wolverine in the comics but Stan Lee was listed in the credits so it has to match up somewhat. It was kinda fun to watch but blah also. Gambit was a fun addition to the mix.
Year One I want my two hours back. I am definitely more dumberer for having left this running in the background. What was I thinking willingly turning on a Jack Black movie?
Sara posted this over on her site and I was kinda bored so I figured i'd give it a go. I've seen way too many bad movies.
Wow. I would not have normally watched a movie with this title or even this theme but this was actually pretty good and has really hit way too close to home. Check it out sometime.

Okay so I haven't written anything in a really long ass time and with good reason. My head is a fucking mess to say the least. However, I have not stopped seeing movies in this period of time and I am sure I am missing a few in here but this is the list as I have it.
No Country for Old Men Amazing...
Beowulf So so
Juno I'd watch it again but I was a bit uncomfortable watching it.
I Am Legend Was great up til the cheesey ending.
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story Beware full frontal MALE
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street Gorey and good
Cloverfield So so
Untraceable Unrealistic. The technical parts of it were so poorly written it pulled me out of the movie entirely.
Rambo He's old.
Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay He brands her... AWESOME!
Fool's Gold Chick flick, duh
Definitely, Maybe Chick flick, duh
Jumper Not bad, not bad.
10,000 B.C. Eh.
Funny Games FANTASTIC!
Doomsday So so, end of the world plague, blah blah blah
21 They actually made a fairly interesting story out of a non-interesting one.
The Ruins Killer plant can mimic cell phone. Strange and gorey.
Prom Night Pyscho teacher escapes insane asylum kills teens. News at 11.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall Was alright not great, turned into a sappy love story.
I haven't really done a great deal lately but I have seen a handful of movies and also made a short trip to the casino in Metropolis with some friends. I will just go ahead and get these movies out of the way.
Saw IV Most sequels really blow and Saw III definitely held that theory to be true. There is that occasional rare movie that will not hold true to the standard as this did. While still being full of guts and gore like the previous incarnations this one actually put some character depth to John(Jigsaw). They almost made him out to be just a man that had just lost grip on reality with the death of his unborn son. If I hadn't said it already I did enjoy this movie a good bit. Give it a look if you get the chance.
30 Days of Night Vampires in an Alaska. There really wasn't a lot to this movie, a couple of car crashes a lot of blood with a smattering of beheadings. It wasn't all that scary and had a craptastic ending that turned a typical blood and guts gore movie into a chick flick.
Lions for Lambs Finally we come to the movie I saw this past weekend. This movie was a single story told from three different perspectives. A law maker calling shots, two soldiers in combat and their former teacher back at college. The message was supposed to be if you don't try to make a difference then you shouldn't complain because you allowed it to happen. I think that came through just fine and the title was very meaningful after the explanation was given. I will leave it at if you look at our current military setup the troops are being given marching orders by people that haven't ever been near combat, let alone in combat. You wouldn't allow a mail room clerk to run a multi-billion dollar company so why would you let a non-military man run a war? Go see this for sure, it was most excellent.

Okay so like I said earlier I went to Metropolis and the casino for a friend's birthday. We drank a little, ate a little, gambled a little and then left to go see the superman statue. Just because I like to cut up and make an ass of myself I posed for this picture. Well that and skydog was too big a pussy to do it.
So there it is. Have a good laugh at my expense. Anyhow I am still having the sleeping problems it is very random now as to when I sleep and don't sleep. The only real constant thread is that I am consistently exhausted and doing my best to make it day to day. Mom and Mike have offered to get me to another doctor to try and get me fixed up but I have declined. I don't really know that I want to get better at this point. I have become almost used to being in this condition.

Went and saw the movie Michael Clayton today and it was really good. However, it like many things that I have been seeing lately bring up memories from my past that I am still not done with. Doing my best to deal with it but there isn't much I can really just say. So I figured an image was worth 1000 words and in some cases worth more depending on how you look at it. Anyway... go see this movie it was really good. If you want to know more about it click the link. My mind is really cluttered right now so I am gonna go try to relax and get stuff in line.

My movie selection this weekend looked pretty good from the previews but nothing spectacular. Seeker: The Dark is Rising. It was somewhat predictable and it was definitely geared around a younger target audience but it was a decent fantasy movie. The story was about a 14 year old boy and his ability to find these "signs" and how if he didn't find them all the dark would defeat light.

Went and caught The Kingdom this afternoon. There really wasn't much on and what was showing that I hadn't seen already didn't interest me much. This looked decent. I hadn't seen any commercials or read anything about it I just knew it had to deal with saudi and oil. This was a very unsettling movie that depicted several acts of terrorism including a near beheading. I wish they had gone ahead and taken Jason Bateman's head off but oh well. Not a bad movie in general it was kinda crappy in the theater cause some bitch kept talking to the screen and adding in her two cents. She was loud enough that I heard her up in front and she was near the back. Give it a peek but wait for DVD.

Since I am posting like crazy today with other stuff I will throw this up as well. Went and saw this over the weekend and it was okay. It wasn't spectacular but it was funny. A good deal of gay humor and the typical jokes you'd expect from this type of movie. Check it out if you have some free time but don't go expecting something new that is going to be ground breaking. Check their site here.
